We don’t always openly talk about it, but mental health and wellbeing deserve our special attention during times like these! What are your ideas, tips & tricks and how can we scale them? Think about tools to measure our wellbeing, platforms to get in contact with the right caretakers, you name it. Here too, the challenges are abundant... Which hacks can you come up with? How would you use technology to give our general wellbeing a boost?
- Social contact has proven to relieve mental stress. How can we support people living in poverty with a small social network and limited acces to online services? And how can we support parents who live in poverty by providing offline entertainment which gives them time for selfcare? Can we provide a buddy network/volunteers available for social contact, a free entertainment packages distributed by OCMW/welzijnsschakels vzw?
- A lot of university college students are experiencing loneliness. They are currently learning from home with online support from their teachers. But their peer support network is no longer there. They can contact other student through social media en mail, but there are no longer collective moments to just 'hang' and talk small talk. Can we organise online events for a class group of students? Teachers or a small group of students could take control to co-ordinate such an event: a bit of "show"/entertainment, a bit of small talk, possibility of serious talk in seperate chat rooms.
- Social connection feeds happiness. Why not stimulate each other to perform fun & safe challenges? Can we create some sort of social platform where people are able to challenge one another to small, sportive, fun and creative activities?
- Admittedly hardly a life threatening problem, but a corona related problem nonetheless: being single in times of lockdown. Tinder is currently a very big heap of confused sheep looking for companionship in vain... What are possible solutions? Virtual speed dating events,...?
