Companies closing and rising unemployment – it’s clear that our economy is suffering. Besides government measures, how can we give our small enterprises or corporates more oxygen? What are the biggest challenges and concerns according to you? Which innovative solutions would you like to see installed? Below you find some examples of topics we could work on. But we would also like to hear your input! Think about tools to make remote working really work, matchmaking platforms to match companies with open vacancies to the unemployed willing to work, or any other innovative hacks that may provide continuity for our much needed businesses and entrepreneurs.

    • Farmers in the EU are relying on seasonal workers from low-income countries to do many manual jobs on the fields. Due to travel restrictions, these are now missing on the fields, leading to large amounts of crops going to waste while supermarkets can't restock the shelves. We need a platform to match those who need to work with those who need workers.
    • Build a voucher platform to allow any service provider (restaurant, hairdressers, plumber, building companies, electricians....) sell a service and generate cash to keep business running and allow them to pay their minimum costs. The end user will buy a 25€/50€/100€ voucher from his usual provider.  It will have people spend now for service they will get later.

    • How can small businesses be ready and assess their reopening? Can we use data to adapt financial plans, make predictions,... in these uncertain times? Big corporates have software to run different scenarios and weigh them against each other. How can we do that as a small business? Is there a possibility to develop an app where we can insert certain parameters to run different scenarios ourselves?

    • How can the tourist sector contribute and stay relevant during the corona crisis? There are different possibilities on small and larger scale. Can chefs prepare food for people who work in the health care sector? Hostels and hotels, can they make rooms & beds available for hospitals?
